Certificate Programme in Laboratory Techniques
Eligibility:
Pass in X standard or equivalent with science subjects and two years of experience of working in a school/college/university science laboratory.
Duration: A minimum period of six months and a maximum of two years
Medium: To begin with, the programme is to be offered in English and Hindi. This may be extended to regional languages, depending on the need.

Certificate Programme Teaching of Primary School Mathematics
Most people, children or adults, usually dread mathematics. Why does this happen? We believe that the problem is due to the way mathematics is usually taught from early school on. In this awareness level practical-oriented programme we look at ways in which we can teach mathematics to children in a way that will make them feel positive about it.
This programme consists of two courses. Both the courses are built around detailed examples of ways of communicating mathematical concepts/processes/skills to children upto the age of 10. Thus, the programme is aimed at pre-primary and primary school teachers, as well as parents of young children.
Eligibility: Adults with 10th pass.
Duration: 6 months To 2 years
Medium: English and Hindi.

Certificate in Home Based Care Provider
Introduction: Certificate programme for home based care providers is a 6 months programme of 14 credits (Theory 4 credits, practicals 10 credits) for 10th passed students. This programme has been developed to prepare a work force in the country with the skills required to look after elderly and people suffering from chronic progressive illnesses.
Eligibility: 10th pass.
Medium: English
Course fee: Rs. 1500/- per student
Awareness Programme on Dairy Farming (APDF)
This programme has been developed in Colloboration with the Ministry of Rural Development (MoRD), Government of India.
Objectives
The main objective of the programme is to:
  • Imparting knowledge and technical proficiency in Dairy Farm Management Practices, Animal Healthcare, Fodder Production and Clean Milk Production.
  • Development of the necessary human resource for dairy farming system on scientific lines and encouraging entrepreneurs among the youth for self-employment through Dairy Farming.
Target Group
  • Marginal/small farmers
  • Dairy farm women
  • Agricultural labourers and the Rural Youth
  • Members of dairy co-operative societies, Milk Federation, Unions, NGOs, SHGs.
Awareness Programme on Value Added Products from Fruits & Vegetables (APVPFV)
This programme has been developed in collaboration with the Ministry of Agriculture, Government of India.
Eligibility for Admission
  • Any 8th standard passout who can read and write Hindi or English or regional language who is a Progressive farmer or good producer of the fruits and vegetables. Farmers may be selected from one block so that they have close geographical proximity.
  • A farmer or office bearer of the Association of Fruits and Vegetables / Horticulture Association (if any) in the district (developed by MoA under Horticulture Mission).
  • Entrepreneurs involved in the procurement/processing of Fruits and Vegetables.
  • Farmers/Farm Women/Representatives of the Farmer’s Interest Group/Farm Women Self Help Group sponsored by Agricultural Technology Management Agency (ATMA) of the district.
  • Representative of NGOs, Government Undertaking, Mandies, Cold Storage who are directly dealing with preservation, processing and Marketing of Fruits and Vegetables.
  • Field level functionaries of the State Departments of Agriculture and Allied Departments.
Medium of Instruction : English and Hindi
Target Group
Farmers involved in fruits & vegetable production/ Orchardist, Entrepreneurs involved in primary & minimal processing of fruits & vegetables, traders of fruits & vegetables, Marginal/small farmers, agricultural labourers, Farm women, Self Help Groups and rural youth and food processing workers.
Duration
One and a half months.
Programme Fee Rs. 700.

Certificate in Organic Farming (COF)
Thisprogramme has been developed in collaboration with Agricultural and Processed Food Products Export Development Authority(APEDA), Ministry of Commerce, Government of India.
Eligibility Requirements
  • 10+2 pass-outs / Bachelor Preparatory Programme (BPP) from IGNOU
  • 10th pass can enroll simultaneously for the BPP and the Diploma programme. Programme Fee : Rs. 3000.00

  • Minimum –6 months
  • Maximum - 2 years. Medium of Instruction : English and Hindi

    Certificate in Water Harvesting Management (CWHM)
    This programme has been developed in collaboration with the IGNOU Regional Centre, Delhi-2.
    Eligibility Requirements
  • 10th pass
  • Bachelor Preparatory Programme (BPP) from IGNOU. The minimum age for admission to the BPP programme is 18 years. Therefore, the minimum age for 10th pass students taking simultaneous admission for the BPP and Diploma programme is 18 years. Programme Fee: : Rs. 1600.00

    Certificate in Poultry Farming
    This programme has been developed in collaboration with the IGNOU Regional Centre, Aizawl (Mizoram) and EDNERU. The programme is intended to provide basic knowledge and technical skills in the areas of Poultry Feeding, Housing, Management and Health Care. The programme also aims to develop human resource in the area of Poultry Farming. The knowledge imparted shall facilitate better management of poultry in scientific lines which in turn will improve their productivity.
