Education NewsAbout My Family
I was born and bought up in a small village called Shakapur in Addakal Mandal, Mahabubnagar district. I have 5 siblings - 4 sisters and a brother. I lost my father Venkataiah, a contractor when I was studying my 8th class. My mother Laxmamma is a homemaker. After the death of my father, it’s my brother Keshavardhan Goud who took the responsibility of our family and encouraged me to take these success steps.

School & College Life...
I studied in ZPHS Govt. School in my village and scored 529 marks in 10th standard. After my schooling, I got seat in Rajiv Gandhi University of Knowledge Technologies formerly known as IIIT Basara and secured 88% in Intermediate and 81% in B.Tech. I always wanted to follow my dad’s path. So, I opted for civil engineering in my graduation.

Being from a Telugu medium school, it was very hard for me to get adjusted during my university studies, as they taught in English. But I never lost my confidence; just within 3 to 4 months, I changed my self according to the environment and learnt English by referring dictionaries and by reading English news papers, etc.

Rigorous Preparation...
After completing my graduation in 2015, I joined in an institute to undergo training for groups. After the release of TSPSC AE & AEE notifications, I planned accordingly and started preparing for the exams. I have prepared my own notes during the classes. I studied for almost 18 hours a day from morning 6am to night 12pm. This was merely possible because of the support and encouragement obtained from my family and friends. I have gone through my B.Tech notes and the material prepared by me. I also referred and practiced some of the aptitude question papers.

About Exam Pattern: AEE & AE were computer based exams. The exam patterns for both AEE and AE are as follows:
For AEE:
  • Paper – I (General Studies): It consists of 150 Questions with one mark each (Total 150 marks)
  • Paper – II (Technical): It consists of 150 questions with two marks each. (Total 300 marks)

For AE:
  • Paper – I (General Studies): It consists of 150 Questions with one mark each (Total 150 marks)
  • Paper – II (Technical): It consists of 150 questions with one mark each. (Total 150 marks)

My interview experience:
My interview was rather a discussion, than a question and answer session. There were a total of 5 members in the interview panel and lasted for 12 to 15 minutes. I was asked questions related to my Family, Technical, Telangana movement etc. Some of the questions were...
  • Tell me about yourself
  • Types of water tanks
  • Types of Water pipes
  • Why have you chosen this department?
  • Where you hail from?
  • Which personality from Mahabubnagar participated in Telangana Movement? What is the speciality of that person?

Books I Referred...
  • For General Studies: I have gone through Hitech Vijaya Rahasyam, Bangaru Telangana Dishaga-Tholi Adugulu.
  • For Technical: I have referred B.Tech. notes and the material prepared by me during the training period in the institute.
  • I worked on and practiced some aptitude questions in some books and had gone through daily news papers to know about the latest information (Current Affairs).

I Suggest...
According to my opinion to acquire any job, having basic knowledge on any subject is necessary. One should be well prepared with all the Telangana related issues, Daily current Affairs etc. During the exam, you should be able to manage your time, as it is crucial and that decides your future. Be confident and prepared. Here, I am wishing you guys a good luck with a great career ahead.
