Doctor of Medicine (MD) Siddha 2017 @ National Institute of Siddha (NIS), Chennai

National Institute of Siddha (NIS), Chennai, invites applications for admission for its Post Graduate MD Course for 2017 at National Institute of Siddha at Tambaram Sanatorium.
Adminissions Eligibility:
  • A pass in BIM/BSMS Degree Examination of any Indian University with successful completion of Compulsory Rotatory Resident Internship (CRRI).
  • Candidates who have completed or will be completing CRRI before the date of entrance exam alone are eligible to apply for the M.D (Siddha) Degree course or;
  • A pass in the examination considered equivalent to the afore-mentioned Siddha degrees by the Tamil Nadu Dr. MGR Medical University, Chennai and the Central Council of Indian Medicine, New Delhi.
  • The candidates should have registered their names either in State Council of Indian Medicine or Central Council of Indian Medicine.

How to apply:
  • Application forms can be downloaded from  
  • Demand Draft, from any of the Nationalized Banks, for Rs.1500/- (Rupees one thousand five hundred only) in favor of "Director, National Institute of Siddha" payable at Chennai, drawn on or after should be enclosed.
  • For OBC/ SC/ST candidates the cost of application is Rs.1000/- (Rupees one thousand only) subject to production of a duly attested Xerox copy of SC/ST certificate, issued by the competent authority.
  • The filled in application along with enclosures should reach the Director, National Institute of Siddha, Tambaram Sanatorium, Chennai-600047, Tamil Nadu.

Selection process:
  • Admission to the course will be made strictly based on the merit list prepared on the basis of AIAPGET-2017 marks and applicable rules and regulations.

  • Last date: 13th September, 2017.
  • Date of Counseling: 22nd September, 2017 (9:00am)
